Kris Bryan is one of our 2017 Wings of Hope tributes. Kris is the proud mother of Jennifer (12 years old) and Connor (9 years old) and is married to Frank Bryan. The couple recently celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary. Kris, originally from Wisconsin, moved to New York City in 1995 after college. Kris became a Pennsylvania resident in 1997 and lived in Eagleville until 2006 when the Bryan family decided to make Douglassville, PA their new hometown.
Kris is the Director of Human Resources for five staffing agencies. She enjoys scrapbooking, biking and hiking with her family. Hawk Mountain and Monocacy Hill are two favorite hiking trails that Kris, Frank, Jennifer and Connor love to explore. Kris is also a Wings of Hope volunteer and has been a WOH member since the charity’s inception. Kris lost her mother to cancer in 2006. She volunteers every year as a way to be close to her mother and make her loss have a positive and meaningful impact.
Kris was recently diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. She begins her journey with a fearless attitude and a steadfast resolve. Over the next sixteen weeks, Kris will undergo chemotherapy. She has the unyielding love and support of her family and friends.
The Bryan family has a saying that has become their comical family mantra. You’re not the boss of me! Well, Kris wants to say loud and clear (with Frank, Jennifer and Connor in her corner, and in perfect unison) – Cancer’s Not The Boss Of Me!
